What’s up. My name is Jackie, but I go under the alias GamerBunny. Why a bunny? Well, I was born in the year of the rabbit, I had a huge affinity for Sailor Moon as a child (Sailor Moon’s name meant ‘rabbit’ in Japanese), and people just generally say my personality reminds them of a bunny. Don’t know if that’s a good thing, but … bunnies are cute. And I enjoy cute things. Currently, I’m smack dab in the middle of college and it’s a hell of a ride. I concentrate mainly on East Asian Studies and Computer Science. I’m aiming to grab some sort of translation job after college, hopefully in a video game company. (Nintendo hiring?)
Moving on.
I enjoy video games. Very much. VEEERY much. Started as a young bumpkin with my brother’s NES, but eventually, he outgrew them and I stayed addicted. I own a lot of systems, from old SNES and Sega Genesis to Playstation and GameCube and even a Sega Dreamcast, and currently, my Wii and DS are keeping me company. I’m a GIANT fan of The Legend of Zelda series, and I also enjoy games from Final Fantasy, Harvest Moon, Pokemon, and most of those crazy Mario games. (I’m a big RPG/simulation fan) My loyalty lies mainly with Nintendo, though.
This fascination with gaming led me to this blog, where I wanted to mix written entries with video entries (hosted on YouTube) to hopefully create an amusing and unique gaming experience. I’ll talk about basically whatever I want to talk about … whether it’s game reviews, opinions on recent news, explorations on aspects of certain games, and even some other general stuff. Be prepared for a good dose of ranting, too, because I believe that constructive criticism is what helps the world go ’round. (And sometimes a bit of mean criticism is all right too) I also hope to get a lot of visitor input as well, so if you’re here and reading, please comment! I appreciate all feedback, even the negative. (Though I hope you’ll say nice things to me!) And I hope you all won’t be daunted by the sprinkling of cute things … because like I said before, I do love cute things.
